Present and Future direction

If the present is a foray into our future, TCNS stands on solid ground. The 2025 TCNS conference was a testament to our enthusiasm and determination for our Mission, Philosophy, Values, and Goals. We are diverse in age, ethnicity, and gender. We are clinicians, scholars, researchers, educators, and administrators. Our diversity influences how we ensure that our TCNS mission to enhance the quality of culturally congruent, competent, and equitable care that results in improved health and well-being for people worldwide is achieved. Reaching out through our Journal of Transcultural Nursing, podcasts, annual conferences, and online resources provides a segue to ensure that culture and care are integral to healthcare.

And the future . . .  As Director of Mission Integration, one of my responsibilities is to build involvement within the organization through strategic planning for both local, national, and international collaborations. I see a future where we reach out to establish strong relationships with multiple healthcare organizations and build strategic partnerships that raise awareness of culturally congruent care and improve health outcomes. Together we are stronger.
