Transcultural Nursing Society Mentorship Program

You must be a current, active member of the Transcultural Nursing Society to apply to be a mentor or a mentee.   Please review the information provided below for criteria for mentors and mentees.  Questions, please email staff@tcns.org.

The Transcultural Nursing Society (TCNS), recognizes the need for mentoring among its members. Globally, we need nurses educated in the field to promote culturally and linguistically congruent care. The TCNS has developed a mentoring program for its members. We are piloting the first cohort during the Spring of 2024. Six pairs of mentors/mentees will be matched for the first cohort. Additional cohorts will be opened as TCNS evaluates the needs of the members. Recently, we held an information session to begin this process.  The video of the presentation is available below for viewing.
Mentor applications will be accepted starting on February 15, 2024. Mentee applications will be accepted starting on April 1, 2024. The goal and duration of the collaboration will be determined between mentor and mentee. Mentors and Mentees will complete a brief survey to assist TCNS in improving the mentoring program.

Questions can be directed to staff@tcns.org.
