Present/Future Directions 

Today more than ever, it is important to learn about diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and cultural sensitivity, cultural assessments, cultural competence, culturally sensitive communication, and integration of culturally congruent care in academia, administration, consultation, research and clinical practice. As a transcultural nursing scholar, an academician, a researcher, and a Family Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to preparing future generations of healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills needed to provide care that is respectful, embracing, and accommodating of cultural diversities and universalities, in a process that actively promotes equality, social justice, and equity in health care.
