Cultural Competency survey developed with Dula Paquiao and others to measure provider or organizational/system cultural competency from the patient or client perspective. Research in recruitment and retention of Native American high school students into nursing. Interested in reproductive rights, environmental and wildlife protection, and public health.

Present/Future Directions 

I will continue working on professional and community committees and interest groups to take action towards supporting legislation that protects women's rights, environmental health and justice, and education for all. As a long time member of the Transcultural Nursing Society and recent inductee scholar I will continue to support the work of the organization.
