The Journal of Transcultural Nursing (JTN) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, and international journal that aims to serve as a forum for nurses and interdisciplinary professionals to publish cutting edge research, theory, and evidence-based practice related to culture and health care. the Journal of Transcultural Nursing provides nurses and interdisciplinary professionals with theoretical approaches, current knowledge, and research findings which have direct implications for the delivery of culturally congruent health care and for the preparation of culturally competent healthcare professionals.
As the Editor-In-Chief, I look forward to working closely with our esteemed associate editors and senior editors, TCNS researchers, scholars, clinicians, and nurses, to continue advancing JTN. Through the lens of nursing, multidisciplinary professions, and international and global health, JTN will continue being the driving force to galvanize and energize the constant evolution of transcultural health care and transcultural nursing by catalyzing high-quality publications and igniting innovative discussions for culturally competent and congruent health care.

Call For Associate Editors: Journal of Transcultural Nursing
Application Deadline: March 1, 2025
We are accepting Associate Editor applications for a one-year trial period, with the option of a four-year term immediately following, starting April 1, 2025, or sooner.
The Transcultural Nursing Society (TCNS) and Sage Publications announce the search THREE (3) volunteers for the position of Associate Editors for the Journal of Transcultural Nursing.
The Journal of Transcultural Nursing (JTN) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, and international journal that aims to serve as a forum for nurses and interdisciplinary professionals to publish cutting edge research, theory, and evidence-based practice related to culture and health care. the Journal of Transcultural Nursing provides nurses and interdisciplinary professionals with theoretical approaches, current knowledge, and research findings which have direct implications for the delivery of culturally congruent health care and for the preparation of culturally competent healthcare professionals.
The Associate Editor position is a volunteer position. Appointment of the Associate Editor is a professional honor that recognizes one’s expertise and commitment to advanced transcultural health care and transcultural nursing. We are specifically looking for scholars with strong statistical expertise, systematic review, meta-analysis, and large data analysis.
The Associate Editors will work closely with the Editor-In-Chief and be responsible for recommending decisions on peer-reviewed submissions to the journal using the ScholarOne electronic submission and review platform.
The Associate Editors are expected to maintain timely and effective communication, advance journal performance, and work towards upholding the Journal of Transcultural Nursing’s high-quality standard. The appointed Associate Editors will receive rigorous training prior to assuming the responsibilities.

The Assistant Editor position is a new volunteer position. This is a great opportunity to be nurtured as future Associate Editors.
The primary roles of the Assistant Editors will be to:
- Triage new submissions for scope and suitability for peer review;
- Research, identify, and invite peer reviewers for new submissions within the ScholarOne submission and review platform;
- Monitor the peer review process, including evaluating submitted peer reviews.
