Transcultural Nursing Society Distinguished Reviewer Award for Journal of Transcultural Nursing (JTN)
As the official journal of the Transcultural Nursing Society, The Journal of Transcultural Nursing (JTN) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, and international journal that aims to serve as a forum for nurses and interdisciplinary professionals to publish cutting-edge research, theory, and evidence-based practice related to culture and health care. The Journal of Transcultural Nursing provides nurses and interdisciplinary professionals with theoretical approaches, current knowledge, and research findings that have direct implications for the delivery of culturally congruent health care and for the preparation of culturally competent healthcare professionals.
A peer reviewer is a recognized expert in a specific field, area, or topic. A peer reviewer plays an essential role in ensuring the health and integrity of a journal by providing a professional and critical evaluation of a manuscript for the Editors to decide whether to publish the manuscript. To be selected as a peer reviewer for the JTN is an honor that presents professional recognition as an expert in transcultural health care or transcultural nursing or particular healthcare areas. To be qualified as a peer reviewer for JTN, a potential candidate must have at least two publications in peer-reviewed journals.
To recognize the contributions of our peer reviewers for JTN, the Transcultural Nursing Society will present a certificate of Transcultural Nursing Society Recognition of Devoted Reviewers for Journal of Transcultural Nursing to our devoted reviewers who have reviewed two or more manuscripts for JTN annually.
In 2025, Devoted Reviewers will receive the certificate during the 51st Transcultural Nursing Society Conference, Portland, Maine, ~ Holiday Inn By the Bay, Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 2025.
The Transcultural Nursing Society, Editor-in-Chief, will present the Transcultural Nursing Society Distinguished Reviewer Award for Journal of Transcultural Nursing to recognize our peer reviewers who have made sustained contributions to the journal, evidenced by reviewing three or more manuscripts each year in the past three years.
In 2025, the award will be presented at the 51st Transcultural Nursing Society Conference, Portland, Maine, ~ Holiday Inn By the Bay, Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 2025.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mei R. Fu, Editor-in-Chief
