Effective use of SQUIRE 2.0 Guidelines - Video - Dr. Patti Ludwig-Beymer Presenting

Dr. Patti Ludwig Beymer, Senior Editor of the Journal of Transcultural Nursing, is the presenter for this video. As a clinician and educator, she has extensive experience in conducting quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Ludwig-Beymer will provide an overview of the SQUIRE 2.0 framework and provide examples of how authors can apply these guidelines to prepare strong, well-structured manuscripts suitable for publication. Participants will gain practical insights to enhance the transparency, rigor, and impact of their scholarly submissions. This presentation is a 25-minute on-demand video.

PRISMA and PRISMA-ScR - Dr. Valerie Eschiti and Dr. Leilani Siaki

Dr. Valerie Eschiti is a presenter for this video. She is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Transcultural Nursing. As a nurse educator, she has experience teaching various types of reviews, and has published scoping reviews. She and her co-presenter provide overviews of PRISMA and PRISMA-ScR guidelines for reviews and how to apply them to write comprehensive manuscripts to foster trust, transparency, and replicability by others. Participants will gain knowledge of ways to streamline reviews to construct publishable papers. This presentation is an on-demand video.

Dr. Siaki, co-presenter for this video, is a certified nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology. Her program of research focuses on optimizing professional practice and patient self-care using culturally congruent methods and reducing cardiometabolic risk in vulnerable populations, Pacific Islanders, and military women specifically. After more than 23 years, Dr. Siaki retired from the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Transcultural Nursing, and peer reviews for three other journals.

CONSORT and TREND Guidelines - Presented by Dr. Kathy Bydalek

Dr. Katherine Bydalek is the presenter for this video. She is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Transcultural Nursing. Dr. Bydalek is an Associate Professor at the University of South Alabama, College of Nursing. She serves as a nurse educator, faculty member, and clinician. Dr. Bydalek has experience teaching a range of nursing courses, including evidence-based practice and the social determinants of health. She will provide information regarding the use of the CONSORT and TREND guidelines for reporting trials and studies. These guidelines provide a thoughtful workflow for composing reports and manuscripts that include relevant information. This presentation is an on-demand video.
