Dear Transcultural Nursing Society Members,
We are pleased to invite you to apply for the opportunity to represent the Transcultural Nursing Society at the Seventieth Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), held 9–20 March 2026 at United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
This prestigious session, convened by UN Women, will focus on the priority theme: “Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls, including by promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems, eliminating discriminatory laws, policies, and practices, and addressing structural barriers.” It will also review progress on “Women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life, as well as the elimination of violence, for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.”
Eligibility and Expectations:
- Only members of ECOSOC-accredited organizations may attend. The Transcultural Nursing Society is proud to hold this status.
- Interested members must sign up by December 15, 2025, to be considered for the delegation. Space is limited, and selection will reflect alignment with CSW70 themes and the Society’s mission.
- All selected delegates must complete mandatory registration via UN between November 2025 and 23 January 2026. Late registrations will not be accepted. The Transcultural Nursing Society must approve through the UN anyone participating in our delegation. TCNS will approve the registrations through the UN system once delegates are selected and have completed their registration.
- Delegates are responsible for their own travel, visa, and accommodation arrangements. The United Nations and the Transcultural Nursing Society do not cover participant expenses.
- Following the event, each delegate is required to present a webinar session to our membership, sharing insights, experiences, and lessons learned from CSW70.
